DESCRIPTION:Come to Tybee’s Farmers Market to score some planters\, coasters\, and sea animal pendants made from plastics we recover on beach sweeps and at our Hard 2 Recycle Center drop-off bin. We clean\, shred\, and inject into molds #5 plastic (polypropylene) as it otherwise would be landfilled or incinerated. These are highly-sought after items that sell out quickly\, and make great gifts! Suggested donation is $15 for pendants\, $10 for planters\, and $5 for coasters. All proceeds support more beach clean ups and our other programs. A virtuous cycle!

DESCRIPTION:Join us in removing litter from Tybee’s beaches. Come to the meet-up area at 1509 Strand Ave (just north of the Pier)\, sign-in\, grab your gear and head to the sand for an hour. Bring your full bucket back to the sign-in table and watch or help with the sort process. All equipment provided. Please note the later start time of 5:30 PM.

We supply all equipment\, including parking passes\, so you only need to bring a reusable bottle of water (don’t even think about being a plastic bottle!) and lots of enthusiasm.

DESCRIPTION:Come snag one of our unique\, hand crafted planters or coasters\, all made from discarded Tybee plastics recovered on beach sweeps and at our community drop-off center. These otherwise unrecyclable plastics have been diverted from the landfill\, incinerator\, or ocean and instead have been transformed into durable keepsakes. We sort\, clean\, shred\, melt\, and inject these plastics into steel molds and create something new and long-lasting. Come see for yourself at the Tybee Farmers Market\, located in the Tybee Lighthouse complex. All donations support our ongoing programs designed to remove plastics from the beach and advocate for less waste in the first place.
