SUMMARY:Get your recycled planters and coasters at the Farmers Market!
DESCRIPTION:Come to Tybee’s Farmers Market to score some planters\, coasters\, and sea animal pendants made from plastics we recover on beach sweeps and at our Hard 2 Recycle Center drop-off bin. We clean\, shred\, and inject into molds #5 plastic (polypropylene) as it otherwise would be landfilled or incinerated. These are highly-sought after items that sell out quickly\, and make great gifts! Suggested donation is $15 for pendants\, $10 for planters\, and $5 for coasters. All proceeds support more beach clean ups and our other programs. A virtuous cycle!

DESCRIPTION:We’ll be setting up at the 15th Street beach entrance at 9:30 AM. All gear provided\, parking passes available on a first-come basis. Bring your family\, bring your friends\, bring your significant other\, or bring yourself and do something good for Mother Earth! Afterwards\, stick around and join in Hands Across the Sand at 11 AM\, sponsored by Surfrider GA\, Oceana\, and Fight Dirty Tybee. We’ll hear from the Tybee Mayor\, a Tybee business owner\, and Oceania’s GA Field Rep on why we need to fight hard to protect the ocean\, and form a symbolic chain of protection along the beach. Event to be filmed via drone by Riverrat Productions.
