DESCRIPTION:To celebrate 10 years of cleaning Tybee’s beaches\, we’re hosting a party at the iconic Tybee Post Theater on Sunday\, September 7th from 4 – 7 PM! We’ll have a cash bar (first drink is on us!)\, a catered buffet (also on us!)\, music\, and at 5 PM\, a special screening of a retrospective short film on our first 10 years. If you’re a regular\, come mingle with everyone and swap stories; if you’re new to us\, come learn about what we do and how to get involved! \nThis event is free and open to the public\, but you must register on-line at the Tybee Post Theater box office at https://www.tybeeposttheater.org. SUMMARY:We’re Hosting the Annual International Coastal Cleanup Today!
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, September 20th at the annual International Coastal Clean Up sponsored by the Ocean Conservancy! This event draws hundreds of thousands of volunteers across the globe in cleaning up their local waterways. We’ll be counting every piece of trash we remove from the beach and  providing the results to the Ocean Conservancy for inclusion in their annual Marine Debris Report. \nWe’ll be set up on the Tybee Pier & Pavilion where you’ll get your gear and instructions. Afterwards\, visit with local coastal conservation groups such as the Tybee Marine Science Center to learn more about their mission and how to get involved! All equipment provided. If you’d like to help by counting litter\, send a note to tybeecleanbeach@gmail.com\, and we’ll provide the training and materials!

DESCRIPTION:Today we’re setting up at the Inlet Ave beach entrance (use 1705 Inlet Ave on GPS). We’ll fan out and cover the entire Back River area\, north to Alley 3 and south to past Chatham Ave. Bring your friends\, and stick around afterwards to catch the sunset and last light in one of the Island’s most beautiful spots. All equipment provided (including a parking pass!).
