TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. (WTGS) — The Tybee Island community rallied together to help make Tybee’s beaches a little cleaner today.
The International Coastal Cleanup group hosted a cleanup day this morning on Tybee Island where anybody could come out and help pick up trash on the beach.
They say they enjoy seeing people of all ages becoming aware of their environmental impact.
“I just think it’s a great thing when so many volunteers just want to do their part to make it a cleaner island, a cleaner beach, a cleaner ocean,” said Tybee Clean Beach Volunteers Manager Tim Arnold.
Arnold says these cleanups happen every other week.
